Bakes by Renata started the way most good things do: in a warm kitchen, with a recipe made one too many times to keep to myself. It all started with the brown butter crispy rice treats. Friends asked for platters for their office parties. Then their coworkers asked. So I made it official.
I am a licensed New Jersey Cottage Food Operator, which means my kitchen, my recipes, and my labels all follow the state's cottage food rules. Every single item is baked to order in my home kitchen in Nutley, NJ. Nothing comes from a mix. And nothing, ever, contains preservatives.
I bake with real butter, real vanilla, and Dutch processed cocoa, the same premium ingredients I use for my own family. When your platter arrives, it tastes like it came from the kitchen of someone who cares, because it did.
